Prof. John Nguyen Van Muoi, I have the honor of knowing and working with Dr. Nguyen van Muoi for some 30 years, both in Vietnam and the United States. During this long period of time, I have followed and witnessed his ever-unending efforts in learning and doing researches about the Vietnamese culture and English language. The work “Language and Culture” is indeed a genuine “long journey to success”, a journey of a true scholar who has devoted a life time optimizing his profession in teaching English, and at the same time, sharing a glimpse about the Vietnamese tradition and culture to the world. His simple pieces of works are easy to understand and yet all contain academic value which should be read and appreciated by those who are interested in Vietnam. Congratulations, Dr. Muoi! Please write more!
